Talk: From Knivsöder to SoFo

Historian Håkan Forsell, author of the new book “Söder – drömmar och förvandlingar i en svensk stadsdel” (Söder: Dreams and Transformations in a Swedish District), guides you through the district's hundred years of change. This evening he focuses especially on a driving force that is often forgotten: how the expansion of the metro and public transport went hand in hand with Södermalm's transformation, from working-class neighbourhood to some of Stockholm's most sought-after addresses.
